#1 Reason To Vote The Bastards Out!!

Here is a great example of why we have to vote out those conniving crooks we call CONgress people. Last year in October, the Social Security Administration came out with a news release announcing that there will be no COLA (cost of living adjustment) in 2010. This will be the first year of no adjustment since COLA's were instituted in 1975.

OK. Things are tough all over. Everyone will be sharing the pain, right?

One month later, November 2009, CONgress voted themselves a cost-of-living increase in 2010.
Need I say more?

Thanks America, Love Michelle

This came to me by email today and I couldn't help but post it since my husband has been out of work for over a year and we haven't taken a vacation in over 5 years. While obviously a parody it smacks us all in the face with the truth that this administration really does breathe rarified air.

Subject: A Thank you from Michelle

For only the second time in my adult life, I am not ashamed of my country. I want to thank the hard working American people for paying $242 thousand dollars plus additional expenses for my vacation in Spain . My daughter Sasha, several long-time family friends, my personal staff and various guests had a wonderful time. Honestly, you just haven't lived until you have stayed in a $2,500.00 per night suite at a 5-Star luxury hotel. We only booked 70 rooms for our friends, staff and family. Thank you also for the use of Air Force 2 and the 70 Secret Service personnel who tagged along to be sure we were safe and cared for at all times.

Air Force 2 only used 47,500 gallons of jet fuel for this trip and carbon emissions were a mere 1,031 tons of CO2. It costs only $11,500 per hour to operate Air Force 2 and each additional plane for the other members of our party group. These are only rough estimates, but they are close (who's counting?). That's quite a carbon footprint as my good friend Al Gore would say, so we must ask the American citizens to drive smaller, more fuel efficient cars and drive less too, so we can lessen our combined carbon footprint.

I know times are hard and millions of you are struggling to put food on the table and trying to make ends meet. I do appreciate your sacrifice and do hope you find work soon. I was really exhausted after Barack took our family on a luxury vacation in Maine a few weeks ago. I just had to get away for a few days. Will write more from Martha's Vineyard where we will spend our sixth vacation this year with more of our family and friends.
Cordially,
M. Obama

Sharia Law Comes To Anaheim

It's no wonder Disneyland is being sued by a Sharia-Compliant employee. Right here at the corner of Lincoln and Brookhurst in Anaheim, California (behind the Jiffy Lube facing north) is this billboard promoting Sharia-Compliant Home Financing with GuidanceResidential. Sharia Law does not allow paying interest, therefore this company becomes a co-owner instead of a lender. See How It Works. While this seems rather innocuous, and perhaps appealing since we would all rather not pay interest, the problem with Sharia Law is you don't just get to abide by the parts you agree with. It is all or nothing. Here is an article that explains why Sharia Law must be stopped.

It's Called Disneyland NOT Ramadanland

Headline: Amish Man Refused Employement At Happiest Place On Earth
Peter vonVoren was refused employment at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA because of his religious beliefs. Amish men follow the law of the Hebrew scriptures with regards to beards. VonVoren has worn a beard since he married and refused to comply with the dress code at Disneyland (The Disney Look). He requested a special dispensation from Disney corporate office regarding his beard but has been told that Disney has a zero tolerance for beards.
Suppose the position my imaginary amish man was applying for was a character part as Prince Charming. Must we allow a bearded man to play Prince Charming? Doesn't Disney have a right to have a dress code? Disney has been known for its strict dress code, called the Disney Look, which has been in place since 1957. Anyone not wanting to comply with the dress codes need to look elsewhere for work.
In June, Disney for the first time allowed women to have bare legs when wearing skirts or dresses. Moustaches were banned until 2000. Beards are still banned.

Compare this story with that of the female employee insisting on wearing her hijab to work at Disney's Storybook Cafe. She was also made aware of the policy and complied until recently when she was advised that she didn't need to comply. (CAIR) She went to all the trouble to become an American citizen and instead of complying with Disney's dress codes as millions of other Americans have, she is filing a Federal lawsuit on the matter. Welcome to America. In Afghanistan she could have her nose and ears cut off for running away from an abusive husband under the strict interpretation of Islam , yet Disney is evil for having a dress code. Only in America...

Obama Gridlocks Los Angeles for Fundraiser

President Obama brought Los Angeles to a stand still yesterday and today. Was there an emergency?
Was the State of the Union in danger? No, the Democratic party needed money so our tax dollars were used to fly and protect Obama on a fundraising junket to Los Angeles. Parents could not get home to their children, employees could not get to their jobs, all in the name of Democratic fundraising. See the following You Tube videos. Obama L.A. Gridlock P.1 Obama L.A. Gridlock P.2 Obama L.A. Gridlock P.3
Just another example of a president who is out of touch with real people.

What President Obama Should Have Said About Building The Ground Zero Mosque

"And although our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakeable, what better way to prove to the American people that Islam really is the religion of peace than to recognize and respect the sensitivities surrounding the development of Lower Manhattan and NOT build the mosque in the vicinity of Ground Zero. This would indeed exemplify that one rule at the heart of every great religion, including Islam --- that we do unto others as we would have them do unto us."

Federal Workers Earning Double Their Private Counterparts

As if the salaries of the City of Los Angeles workers weren't enough to send me over the edge, we have USA Today reporting the salaries of federal workers DOUBLE the salaries of their counterparts in the private sector. My favorite quote from the story is that of Colleen Kelley, president of the National Treasury Employees Union, who says "The data are not useful for a direct public-private pay comparison." Really! The article also states that "public employee unions say the compensation gap reflects the increasingly high level of skill and education required for most federal jobs".  When was the last time you interfaced with a federal employee and experienced that "high level of skill and education"?

Bottom line: Federal compensation has grown 36.9% since 2000 after adjusting for inflation, compared with 8.8% for private workers. How about that!

Feel Better Now?

The goal was to make the taxpayers feel better by listing the salaries of Los Angeles City employees, For me it only brought to light the fact that I should not have wasted my money on college but concentrated on getting a job in the City of Los Angeles. I could be a janitor and make more money than I do now. Scroll through the 547 pages and see why taxes are so high.

Sophie's Choice in California-"Vague" Whitman or "Scary" Brown

"Putting the foot on the other shoe", Meg Whitman's interview yesterday on KFI640 with John and Ken exemplified the bob and weave that politicians go through when asked direct questions. Listening to the interview was one thing, watching the video is something else.  John and Ken put her through the wringer. It showed as she was unable to answer anything without the word "So..." prefacing her reply. It was as if she needed to reset her brain in order to select the pseudoapplicable talking point. John and Ken really earned their paychecks as they attempted to pry answers out of her. Yesterdays answers. Who knows what the answers will be in the future? Today is another day, and tomorrow is too. What this interview highlighted is that, as with the presidential race, we are have been given 2 unacceptable candidates to choose from, a Sophie's Choice.

Oh, Now I Understand...It's Our Geography!

Thanks to Meg Whitman, republican candidate for Governor of California, I understand why California can't do anything about illegal immigration. It's our geography. Recently on on Talk Radio's America's Morning News she said:"...I don't think the Arizona law makes sense for California because we have a much bigger state with much bigger geography."  Well, if California's geography is so big, there is no hope that federal immigration law will be upheld, since by Meg's reasoning the U. S. has MUCH MUCH bigger geography.

Aw, jeez, now I've got to choose between Governor Moonbeam and the Geography queen.

Obama says: "It Could Be Worse!"

Frankly, I can't figure out why our economy is not booming right now. I'm sure nothing gives the country a bigger warm fuzzy than hearing President Obama's dulcet tones telling voters every chance he gets that things would be a lot worse if not for the stimulus bill and other steps he took. At least the recession never became a depression, the president says. There are no better words that instill a feeling of confidence than "It could be worse!" Although, blaming the media for an Obama administration gaff is also a confidence builder. Let's just hope the media doesn't have access to the nuclear button. It will be a real pain for Obama to have to blame them for an errant nuclear strike from a bunker located deep underground.

An Immigrant's Trip to Arizona

In retelling his naturalized mother's experience on a trip to Arizona "An Immigrant's Trip to Arizona, July 10, 2010", Hector Tobar tries to pull at our heart strings. His conclusion is that Arizona "Doesn't sound like a bad place to visit — if you don't mind carrying a passport."

Is that the big deal? That a naturalized citizen should be required to carry a passport or other document? I suppose driving my car around is nice, as long as I don't mind carrying my driver license (and proof of insurance ). And by the way, if I forget them and I'm driving, I feel scared.

Hector should tell his mother that instead of feeling sad because of the new Arizona law, she should feel sad for all the people who immigrated here legally, and who waited so long, being disrespected by those who feel they don't need to follow any "stinkin' U.S. laws".

Tell her I feel sad because I am considered a racist for wanting people to come to my country legally. Tell her I feel sad because we are not allowed to be a sovereign country. And last, but not least, tell her I'm sad that she had to leave the country of her birth. It is sad when your own country does not look out for it's own citizens and allows it to become so unbearable people will risk their lives to leave. I know exactly how she feels and so do the Arizonians.

The Idiotic War on Raw Milk

From Mike Adams at NaturalNews.com: http://www.naturalnews.com/029178_raw_milk_food_freedom.html
"Now the war is on. State and federal regulatory agencies, spurred on by the monopolistic business practices of the dairy industry, have set out to criminalize the sale of raw milk. They've raided raw milk resellers, arrested raw milk marketers and seized countless gallons of raw milk to be destroyed.

Raw milk, the bureaucrats say, is dangerous because it hasn't been sanitized yet. Raw milk is "dirty" while cooked, pasteurized or irradiated milk is "clean." And Big Brother thinks you're not supposed to eat "dirty" foods like raw milk. Nancy's note: Pasteurized milk does not have the bacteria removed from it. The bacteria in the milk is killed but still in the milk. So while, theoretically, the bacteria is incapacitated, you are still drinking their little dead bodies. Yum!

Sure, you can smoke yourself into a lifetime of cancer -- that's fully approved by the government. You can slather your body with personal care products laced with cancer-causing chemicals, because that's also approved by the government. You can drink brain-busting aspartame, chow down on diabetes-promoting MSG, or swallow any number of mouthfuls of processed foods laced with a thousand different synthetic chemicals that probably cause everything from cancer to Alzheimer's. Go take a swim in the Gulf of Mexico and soak up some Corexit dispersant chemicals -- the government doesn't protect you from any of that.

But raw milk? Well that's just too dangerous. It's all natural! And if you're the whored-out U.S. government -- now run by commercial interests -- natural is bad!"

We Must Pass the Healthcare Bill To Know What Is In The Bill

NEWS FLASH...This just in. Nancy Pelosi, stated today at the 2010 Legislative Conference for National Association of Counties that "we have to pass the (healthcare) bill so that you can find out what is in it". No, you stupid woman, your job is to inform the people of the United States what is in the proposed bill then we will let you know whether or not we want said bill passed. I swear, it is a wonder I have any hair left as the insanity that has taken over our legislators, in California and Washington D.C., is causing me to pull out my hair and nash my teeth!!!!

Her condescending attitude and that of her liberal cohorts is fully addressed in the Washington Post article by Gerard Alexander. He asks the question "Why are liberals so condescending?" I'll tell you why. Because they think they are God's gift to humanity. In his article Alexander quotes Paul Krugman "What do these people really believe? I mean, they're not stupid -- life would be a lot easier if they were. So they know they're not telling the truth. But they obviously believe that their dishonesty serves a higher truth. . . . The question is, what is that higher truth?" He was talking about the Wall Street editorial page, but I'd say Krugman was talking about the liberals and the Obama administration. They think that whatever they do is just peachy because it "serves a higher truth". And to find out that truth, Nancy Pelosi says we have to pass the bill. What a steaming pile!

Andrew Joseph Stack-Canary in the Coal Mine

Early coal mines did not feature ventilation systems, so miners would routinely bring a caged canary into new coal seams. Canaries are especially sensitive to methane and carbon monoxide, which made them ideal for detecting any dangerous gas build-ups. As long as the canary in a coal mine kept singing, the miners knew their air supply was safe. A dead canary in a coal mine signaled an immediate evacuation.

Andrew Joseph Stack was our canary in the coal mine. Instead of methane and carbon monoxide, he was sensitive to the helpless feeling one gets when being taken advantage of by a bully. Read his suicide note. How many of us feel we do not have a voice in our government? How many of us do not feel represented by our representatives? How many of us smile when we see the already-too-high taxes taken out of our paychecks yet again increase? Just today I heard one of our clueless California legislators has introduced another "soda tax" bill that "would lap a 1-cent levy on every teaspoon of added sugar and other caloric sweeteners in commercial beverages sold." Of course the tax would be paid by the beverage makers, but you know it will be passed on to the consumer. I don't drink enough of these types of drinks for it to cause my pocket book pain, but I am so sick and tired of these bastards taxing every little thing. Every time we turn around they are trying to force another "revenue enhancement" on us in the guise of improving our lives. But our legislators are just crack addicts looking for a fix. And after this fix, they'll be looking for another and another until we are sucked dry. We have a parasitic form of government here in California. California legislators and the multitude of government workers feed on the taxpayer and produce nothing of value. I heard a quote today that a particular government worker put in $124,000 of his own earnings into his retirement and is expected to receive $3.8 MILLION in retirement benefits. Parasites I tell you. Rat bastard parasites, or as Andrew Joseph Stack coined them "thieves, liars, and self-serving scumbags". Today's incident is a window into the parasite-infested soul of the American taxpayer. The canary has stopped singing.

Clueless in Congress

Can we please vote these out-of-touch politicians out of office?

CBS News Investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reports official filings and CBS News' own investigation show at least 106 people from the House and Senate attended - spouses, a doctor, a protocol expert and even a photographer. Thanks to recently filed Congressional expense reports there's new light shed on the Copenhagen Climate Summit in Denmark and how much it cost taxpayers. Link to CBS News article.

Rep. Henry Waxman, D-Calif. went to Copenhagen last year and when asked about the $2,200-a-day bill for room and food for the CBS News article he stated  "I can't believe it, but I don't know." Now that's someone I want in charge of spending my tax dollars.

According to the article, "Flights weren't cheap, either. Fifty-nine House and Senate staff flew commercial during the Copenhagen rush. They paid government rates -- $5-10,000 each -- totaling $408,064. Add three military jets -- $168,351 just for flight time -- and the bill tops $1.1 million dollars -- not including all the Obama administration officials who attended: well over 60."

So again, I refer you to the Kick Them All Out project. Because this junket just illustrates what Mark Twain so rightfully said "Politicians are like diapers. They both need changing often and for the same reason."

Sinking the Good Ship Lollypop

Thank you, Citizens of Massachusetts! What a difference a year makes. On this day last year we were Inaugurating President Hopey-Changey, who has spent a year cramming unwanted legislation down the unwilling throats of the American people. Has the Democratic Party done anything to improve our lives? No. They appear to think their presence is what makes the country better. The arrogance of the Democratic party has been trounced for all the world to see. It is a mandate for all politicians of every ilk to start listening to the people who put them in office or expect to be voted out.
