Here is just another example of the lack of transparency in the Obama administration. A San Francisco Chronicle reporter, Carla Marinucci, videoed protesters at the Democratic National Convention singing their request of "We paid our dues, where's our Change?", after which the White House communications office threatened retaliation and subsequently lied about the threat. Per the Chronicle:
"White House communications office who told us they would remove our reporter, then threatened retaliation to Chronicle and Hearst reporters if we reported on the ban, and then recanted to say our reporter might not be removed after all."
I didn't realize transparency was only supposed to be used when it suited the President.
